On both Sunday, November 9th and Monday, November 10th, interior designers and architects from around the country made the trek from the Jacob Javits Center up to Jamie Stern’s showroom on W 29th Street for our 8th Annual BDNY Showroom Event. Breakfast, lunch and cocktails were served as the guests toured the site, taking in a series of new furniture, rug, fabric and leather collections.
As always, the festivities began with a traditional (albeit boozy) New York-style breakfast. The bagels & lox, fresh fruit, pastries and egg sandwiches were paired with a host of classic and seasonal cocktails including Aperol Spritzes, Espresso Martinis, Apple Cider Mimosas and Spiked Pumpkin Spice Lattes. Lunch was also served both days and featured an array of sandwiches, charcuterie boards, salads, kebabs and more.

Joining us from local New York City-based firms included team members from Sawyer & Co., Workshop APD, TPG, Perkins Eastman, Robert AM Stern, Corgan, Goodrich, Louis Vuitton and more. Visiting from a bit farther were designers from Washington DC, Virginia and Maryland including BCT Design Group, RD Jones, Wyn Design and Linowes Design. From Florida, we spent time with Peacock & Lewis, Aire + Partners and Disney. Bergmeyer, Rottet Studio, Minno Wasko, Populous, Gettys Group, Dunne Kozlowski and many more were also in attendance.

Giveaways have become a staple of the Jamie Stern BDNY Showroom Events and 2025’s edition was no exception. Wax pull-up leather backpacks, vegetable-tanned leather totes, Hair-on-Hide handbags, foil-on-suede clutches, jute fabric market bags and a few other surprises were given away throughout the festivities. Did you spot any of these Jamie Stern bags around the Javits Center?!

While noshing and sipping, the visitors browsed the showroom’s renovated layout, highlighting our latest rug introduction, the Luminous Collection. Designed by Roya Gholizadeh and Rachel Barick, these seven rugs explore the way light interacts with color, fiber and texture. The two patterns, Reflect and Liora, were inspired by the movement of light across the surface of varying materials and textures and recreated with 100% natural fibers including New Zealand wool and shimmering bamboo silk. Designers were encouraged to take selfies in front of their favorite design from the collection for the chance to win that very rug!

Luminous was not the only new collection on display. Our recently launched Twin Palms Collection was also present and accounted for throughout the space. Designed by Jeannene Doub for Jamie Stern and inspired in part by Architect E. Stewart Williams's iconic Palm Springs estate, these fabrics seek to capture the essence of desert modernism. Clean lines, playful geometry and sun-warmed tones recall the effortless glamor of mid-century design—when open-air living and Hollywood cool defined the era. Samples of these six mesmerizing patterns flew off the fabric sample wall!
BDNY also served as a sneak peek of sorts for two of Jamie Stern’s upcoming collections. Three sophisticated new lounge chair designs from the soon-to-be-released Thresholds Collection by our Creative Director, William Oberlin, took center stage in the showroom. Each design was upholstered in our natural fiber Granular fabric from the FORMWORK Collection with one boasting outback detailing featuring our full grain leather, Alpen (in the colorway Waterbury Blue). Keep an eye out for the formal launch of these pieces later this year!

Lastly, a series of vibrant embossed leathers greeted guests immediately upon their arrival. Bright metallic patterns, intricate geometric repeats, bold animal prints and more were on display in what is currently being called the Embossed Excellence Collection. Slated for an official introduction in early 2026, these leathers greatly expand Jamie Stern’s current leather offerings, now totaling just over 900 distinct colors.

Thank you to everyone who braved some dicey weather and made our 8th Annual BDNY Showroom Event so memorable. The whole Jamie Stern team had an amazing time and we hope you did too. We look forward to seeing you all again in the near future!
