Jamie Stern x Goodrich ICFF Showroom Event

To coincide with this year’s edition of the International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF), Jamie Stern Furniture, Carpet, Leather & Fabric partnered with Goodrich to host a cocktail event and after-party in Midtown Manhattan. The evening served as both a celebration of design collaboration and an opportunity to offer guests a first look at several forthcoming collections that will formally debut later this spring. Bringing together leading architects, interior designers, purchasers, dealers, and members of the broader A&D community, the event welcomed both local attendees and visiting professionals who traveled to New York for ICFF week.

Conveniently located just a few blocks from the Javits Center, the Jamie Stern showroom at 231 West 29th Street provided an ideal destination for fair attendees looking to continue the conversation beyond the convention floor. Throughout the evening, the showroom became a lively gathering place where guests could engage directly with new product introductions, reconnect with industry peers, and experience firsthand the collaborative vision shared by the Jamie Stern and Goodrich teams.

In preparation for the event, the showroom underwent an extensive redesign intended to showcase three entirely new collaborations developed jointly by Jamie Stern and Goodrich. The transformed space highlighted a range of new furniture pieces, flatweave area rugs, and an expansive upholstery leather collection, all presented publicly for the first time. Rather than functioning as a traditional static display, the showroom was designed to encourage interaction and material exploration. Guests were invited to sit in the new modular banquettes, lounge seating, dining chairs, and barstools while also experiencing the craftsmanship and tactile qualities that define the collections.

The newly introduced rug program drew significant attention throughout the evening, particularly for its sophisticated color palette, inspired by the 19th-century color theorists for whom they are named. The rugs' textures, understated patterns, and all-wool constructions are uniquely complex and inspiring. Attendees also investigated the three chair and barstool collections (Honcho, Spry and Lug) and the Goodrich banquette designs (Maven) all conceived as useful and much needed items for both the Corporate and Hospitality markets. Alongside the furniture and rug collections, visitors also explored full upholstery hides from the latest leather introductions, offering a comprehensive look at the breadth of finishes, colors, and textures now available through the collaboration.

These collections represent the culmination of more than a year of thoughtful development between the Jamie Stern and Goodrich teams, led by Matt Goodrich and Hines Fischer. Throughout the design process, both teams worked closely to create products that balance hospitality-driven functionality with elevated residential-inspired aesthetics. The resulting collections reflect a shared commitment to timeless design, refined detailing, material integrity, and long-term performance. While the ICFF showroom event marked the first public preview of these introductions, the official launches of the furniture, rug, and leather collections are scheduled for later this spring.

The evening attracted an impressive group of attendees from across the architecture and interior design industries. New York-based firms including Gensler, Morris Adjmi Architects, Stonehill Taylor, CetraRuddy, AvroKO, and Jeffrey Beers International were all represented throughout the night. The event also welcomed visiting designers and architects from across the country, including teams from Boston-based Bergmeyer, Denver’s OZ Architecture, Louisville’s DKN Architects, and many others who traveled to New York specifically for ICFF programming and events.

Beyond the product launches, the event atmosphere itself became a major highlight of the evening. The showroom’s bar area, redesigned by Creative Director William Oberlin, officially debuted during the celebration and quickly became one of the most active gathering spaces of the night. Inspired by the timeless elegance and social energy of Milan’s legendary Camparino in Galleria, the redesigned bar blended European cocktail culture with the welcoming spirit of New York hospitality.

Throughout the evening, guests enjoyed a curated menu of cocktails and beverages that included Negronis, Aperol Spritzes, Mezcal Jungle Birds, Italian pilsners, and Elderflower Gimlets. Jamie Stern’s own David Bernal kept the bar operating at full speed all night, ensuring that attendees remained well taken care of while conversations and celebrations continued throughout the showroom. Complementing the beverage program was an abundant selection of hors d’oeuvres and small bites, allowing guests to comfortably settle in, socialize, and enjoy the evening without interruption.

In addition to the newly unveiled Goodrich collaborations, attendees also had the opportunity to explore several of Jamie Stern’s long-standing material collections and showroom installations. A central feature of the showroom highlighted natural fiber textiles from the Material Matters, Twin Palms, and Emilio collections, showcasing the company’s continued focus on texture, craftsmanship, and sophisticated color palettes. Guests also spent considerable time exploring the recently expanded leather cutting wall, which features a curated selection from Jamie Stern’s extensive library of more than 900 upholstery leathers.

Particular attention was given to the Interlock Collection, which introduced 15 new embossed leather patterns that further expand the studio’s offering of architectural and hospitality-focused materials. By presenting these materials alongside the new Goodrich collaborations, the showroom successfully demonstrated the versatility and cohesion of the broader Jamie Stern product ecosystem.

As the main showroom event began to wind down later in the evening, the celebration continued just a few blocks away at the Goodrich offices, where the official afterparty carried the energy well into the night. Led by Matt Goodrich, members of both the Goodrich and Jamie Stern teams joined designers and guests for a more informal continuation of the festivities. Upon arrival, attendees were welcomed with slices from Prince Street Pizza, specialty cocktails served by Phil Collins, music from a live DJ, and a lively atmosphere that made the short walk more than worthwhile.

The ICFF showroom event ultimately served as far more than a product preview. It became an opportunity to celebrate collaboration, craftsmanship, community, and the relationships that continue to shape the design industry. Jamie Stern and Goodrich would like to extend a sincere thank you to every designer, architect, purchaser, dealer, journalist, friend, and family member who helped make the evening such a memorable occasion. The enthusiasm and support shown throughout the event reinforced the excitement surrounding these upcoming launches, and both teams look forward to officially introducing the new collections to the wider A&D community in the months ahead.
